The 23-year-old starts 39th in Sunday’s Daytona 500 in Daytona Beach, FL.

Las Vegas has produced yet another NASCAR Cup Series driver, joining the likes of Kurt and Kyle Busch, and Brendan Gaughan.

Noah Gragson locked himself into the ‘Super Bowl’ of NASCAR after Daytona 500 qualifying Wednesday.

Sunday’s season opener is the first of 15 total Cup events Gragson will be participating in this season. He will split time between the NASCAR Cup Series with his current team Beard Motorsports along with the new Kaulig Racing Cup Series program and his team of four years JR Motorsports.

“I think there’s a lot of good things in the works with JR Motorsports [and] Beard Motorsports kicking off at Daytona,” Gragson told the media Wednesday. “We’re running 14 Cup races with Kaulig as well, [I’m] gonna be pretty spread thin on my schedule.”

“We’re excited, and it’s going to be a lot of racing but I’m going to be learning a lot this year and getting great experience.” Gragson added.

Gragson has made an attempt at the 500 before, trying his luck in 2021 with Beard Motorsports where he just missed out on the final transfer spot into the race during the Bluegreen Vacations Duel, a race to set the field for the Daytona 500.

“Last year we were kinda put in a box by not making it through tech [inspection] for qualifying,” Gragson said. “So we really had to race hard all race.”

The Bishop Gorman graduate will make his first appearance Sunday at 11:30a.m. on FOX.

"We came up short last year,” Gragson told NASCAR on Fox. “To be able to make my first Cup start on Sunday, it’s really special.”

“Super excited and super thankful, and just very proud.” Gragson concluded.
