Arsenal vs Aston Villa:
Arsenal produced a phenomenal performance, defeating Aston Villa 3-1.
Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka
Saka put a cross into the box which Aubameyang attempted an overhead kick for. The miss wound up at Saka’s feet
It was all Arsenal early as Saka would produce a dangerous cross. This time Thomas Partey’s shot hit the crossbar.
Partey scored this time with his head in the 23rd minute from a corner to make it 1-0.
Saka had a glorious chance to make it 2-0, but he failed to convert a pass across the box from Nuno Tavares.
A debatable decision came at the end of the second half when the Video Assistant Referee reviewed a tackle made by Matthew Targett on Alexandre Lacazette. The referee gave a penalty that Aubameyang missed, but he scored off the follow-up from Martinez’s save making the score 2-0.
Aston Villa started the second half brightly, although Arsenal would score again in the 55th minute. Emile Smith-Rowe scored a deflected shot off Tyrone Mings to make it 3-0 Arsenal.
Aston Villa would not fold, forcing several saves from the Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
Jacob Ramsey hit a shot that Ramsdale could not save. The ball flew past him to decrease Arsenal’s lead to 3-1.
It was all Aston Villa in the final minutes, but they could not decrease Arsenal’s lead anymore.
