The UNLV Skatin’ Rebels announced their schedule for their 2021-22 campaign Friday evening.
The Rebels will be in American Collegiate Hockey Association Division One competition and will be playing games for the first time since the 2019-20 season, prior to the cancellation of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I have high expectations of my team that we put together last year that didn't get to play plus adding a few pieces this year.” Head Coach Anthony Greener said. “I'm really excited just to get to work in August and prepare.”
The Skatin’ Rebels will play all of their home games at City National Arena in Summerlin.
UNLV will open up their season Oct 1-2 at home against the University of Illinois Fighting Illini.
The following week, the Skatin’ Rebels will play host to the University of Utah Skatin’ Utes Oct 8-9. The Utes struggled against UNLV during the 2019-20 season, going 0-4 in the season series against the Rebels.
The Skatin Rebels hit the road for a pair of games against the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos Oct 15-16.
UNLV returns home to play four games, split between the Arizona Wildcats and Missouri State Ice Bears Oct 22-23 and 29-30 respectively.
The Skatin Rebels then hit the road once more for their first road trip of the season, stopping in Utah to play the Skatin’ Utes Nov 12-13, then to Illinois for a second two-game stint against the Fighting Illini Nov 19/21, and ending in Arizona to play Grand Canyon University Dec 3-4.
Rebel Hockey returns to City National Arena Dec 10-11 to play their first two games of their four against the Arizona State Sundevils.
The University of Jamestown Jimmies pays visits following the holiday break Jan 14-15, right before the Rebels embark on their final road trip of the year.
UNLV will open the road trip against the Arizona Wildcats Jan 21-22, then heading to Liberty University Jan 28-29. The Skatin Rebels end their road trip against ASU Feb 11-12.
UNLV Hockey will end their season with two home series, once against GCU Feb 18-19 and rounding off their season against Oregon Mar 4-5.
Season tickets go on sale July 12 at 12 p.m.
