Manchester City vs Everton:

In the first game of the day, Manchester City defeated Everton 3-0.

Manchester City produced several chances early, but it took them until the 44th minute to break the deadlock. Joao Cancelo’s incredible cross met Raheem Sterling who hit it on the half volley making it 1-0 Manchester City.

Rodri struck an unbelievably powerful shot outside of the box to put Manchester City up 2-0.

Everton did not create much on the day. Their best chance came when Seamus Coleman got a pass from Alex Iwobi and flicked the ball over Bernardo Silva, but Coleman’s shot was saved by Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.

Silva finished the game off, taking advantage of Cole Palmer’s deflected shot for an easy tap-in. Everton is now winless in their past six league games.

Tottenham vs Leeds:

Tottenham survived a scare and beat Leeds 2-1.

Leeds, who are in their own battle to avoid relegation, started brightly. Leeds got their goal right before the end of the first half when Daniel James got on the end of a low cross from Jack Harrison.

Tottenham displayed more of a threat to score to begin the second half. Harry Kane nearly scored in the opening 30 seconds of the second half, but Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier saved his shot.

Heung-Min Son also hit the crossbar after a massive deflection off Diego Llorente. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg scored in the 58th minute for Tottenham making it 1-1 when Lucas Moura passed it back to him for an easy goal.

Tottenham went up 2-1 after an Eric Dier free-kick got deflected off the post and Sergio Reguilon had a tap-in. Leeds certainly tried for an equalizer but was unable to get it.

Premier League games are broadcast on NBCUniversal networks and its Peacock streaming service.
