The Trevor Lawrence era has started off shaky with the Jaguars dropping its first three games by double digits. Lawrence, hyped as an NFL ready prodigy, has had struggles adjusting to NFL defenses.
The Bengals have captured some LSU magic with former Tigers Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Case being reunited. Starting off 2-1, including a pounding of the Steelers, the Bengals are heading in the right direction.
The past two number one overall picks go head to head with their teams trending in different directions. With how much all rookie quarterbacks (QB) have struggled out the gates, keep your money away from them.
Pick: Bengals -7.5
Tennessee Titans (2-1) at New York Jets (0-3)

The Titans have seemed to rebound from their week one blowout with back to back victories. They’ve done this on the back of star running back Derrick Henry who in the past two games had 381 yards from scrimmage with three touchdowns.
The Jets, on the other hand, are reeling. Second overall selection Zach Wilson looks like every bit of a rookie in his first two starts. He is tied for the league lead in interceptions with seven and has been sacked a staggering 15 times.
With Henry revving into full gear, expect him to run through this Jets defense.
Pick: Titans -7.5
Lions (0-3) at Bears (1-2)

The Bears were completely embarrassed in Justin Field’s first NFL start, not even cracking 50 yards of total offense.
Head coach Nagy is finding himself on the hot seat. With players retweeting how bad his offense has been, it’s tough to say how much the team will look to rally around saving his job.
The Lions come into this game the winless team, but don’t let the record fool you. They have shown resilience, putting up a fight against all three playoff contenders they have faced.
Going from playing the 49ers, Packers, and Ravens to the dumpster fire Bears is like being hit by a train followed by a pillow. The fact that the Bears are somehow favorites for this game is mind boggling, and something to take advantage of.
Pick: Lions +3
Baltimore Ravens (2-1) at Denver Broncos (3-0)

Baltimore followed up a signature win against the Chiefs with a nailbiter against the pesky Lions. They go from finally getting the best of Patrick Mahomes, to being underdogs to the upstart Broncos.
Denver earned some credit, no one saw this team being 3-0 so they deserve the praise. The Broncos have shut down all the teams who have been placed in front of them, now facing a real threat in Baltimore led by Lamar Jackson.
Denver has a chance here to solidify themselves as a real threat, but the Ravens, for all their flaws, are a proven team. Them coming into this game as an underdog is too appetizing an offer to pass on.
Pick: Ravens +2.5
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1) at New England Patriots (1-2)

He’s Back! Tom Brady is making his return to New England where he won six Super Bowls, solidifying his case as the Greatest of All Time. He rolls into town following a loss to a fellow NFC powerhouse.
Brady returns against head coach Bill Belichick and a Patriots team with a new face behind center. Rookie Mac Jones struggled mightily, throwing three picks against the Saints.
While it is still in the cards that Belichick has some Death Star gameplan lined up, it just doesn’t look likely that this Patriots team stacks up to the Bucs. Look for Brady to walk out Foxborough with a win and possibly the all time yards record in hand.
Pick: Buccaneers -7
Certified Stay Away Game of the Week
Arizona Cardinals (3-0) at Los Angeles Rams (3-0) -6

Arizona has been a roller coaster ride for bettors this year. At the end of it all, they are 3-0 behind Kyler Murray making a case for quarter-season MVP.
The Rams are making a heavy case for being the best team in the league, decisively beating the reigning champion Buccaneers. Matthew Stafford has unlocked his potential in a system alongside Sean Mcvay.
With the Rams disposing of Tom Brady last week you would think they should handle Arizona too.
This, however, is the NFC West so it’s not that easy. Expect this game to be a back and forth affair with either team likely to edge it out. Stay away and let them battle it out with no money involved
